Szukalski

The greatest sculptor you never heard of - or maybe you have. He said Picasso was a bum but that doesn't make him less lovable. He lived in Santa Monica until passing away several years ago. Most of his original work was destroyed by commies in his native Poland. How do you describe a style beyond description? Arrogant, self-absorbed, and brilliant, he was the proto-typical artist.

Astounding sculptures. It's too bad the people never recognize talent like this during the artist's life, all the while praising and loving two-bit schmucks who have no talent at all.

Well said weirdo. They were going to make a documentary about him with Leo Dicaprio as a producer last time I heard.

The Problem with today's high art world is that critics don't even have any half-decent two-bit schmucks to praise!

I think the first time I heard of this guy was on a commentary on one of the Ren & Stimpy DVD's.
I'm not going to go look for it, but am I right? I remember hearing "Great Polish sculptor..."
'Polish' always jumps out at me because of my Polish background and the fact 'sculptor' was thrown in there too is just a bonus!
Hopefully I'm related somewhere and could be as good as Szukalski one day.

I used to know a couple of comic book artists who were Nazi sympathizers. They adored that guy (Szukalski). Absolutely adored him. One of these scumbags actually went to meet him, raving about the guy after--telling me all about the deluge cultures, etc. etc.
