Art for Cheap

These have been sold, sorry. I will post more. Crazy Jim's art outlet and depot has a warehouse full of cartoon drawings! All of it must go to make room for next year's models! We've got Ren and Stimpy, He-Hog, George Liquor, and many more. Hurry on down and bring the kiddies too. Hey kids, these have been spoken for but I have many more.

"New" I have been having trouble with finding stuff since moving and when I make good on the current sales more will be available. Thank you for the patience.

Wow!!

Really really beautiful (and famous) drawings!!

I think I got a couple of them from you via eBay a while back...

But what's the best way to get in touch with you to possibly buy one (or two?) of these? :)

Here's my email: brett@fluidtoons.com

Thanks!

Jim I have a Ren and Stimpy question, what the hell happened in Fake Dad ? All I see on the DVD is Ren about to spank Kowalski and then he sees his butt crack and he tells Kowalski to pull his pants back up. What was cut ?

Jimbo said...

Hey Rick, it was censor or poor editing. I saw it a while back so forgive the memory lapse. Many ideas were cut later after being approved earlier, which wreaked havoc on the tight schedule as well as frayed nerves and delicate psyches. A message to whomever may be in the position to give the go-ahead in this kind of situation: Please be forthright and make a decision and mean it or all hell breaks loose.

Jim:

Yeah that makes sense. A shame to see such a good cartoon flowing smoothly then become butchered at the climax. I really, REALLY wish the old Spumco gang remained past season 1. :(

Hey Jim:

How come Big House Blues looks so radically different from anything else done for the series?

I know you guys did it before Nick bought the show, but what was the reason, if any, for it's 'toning down'?

Katie told me that she'd convinced John to do an episode of APC in the BHB style, but that time didn't permit... which is sad. :(

It's one of my favorite cartoons ever, and I've always wondered about it's unique look.

Yeah Big House Blues seemed alot more wild then most of the series.

Jimmy, your Beany and Cecil directorial goodness, Brotherhood of Blech, is on youtube, and I must pass on plaudits for it being a generally fun cartoon, but most especially, when Dishonest John's cursed dwelling, engulfed in rain, finaally explodes and the shitter comes raining down down and John thwarts us all when he breaks his despondent hang-dog gait and sez "whatta great day" in a blase monotone, slumps and strolls to the mailbox, where lightning flash creates the most beautiful chiaroscuro! And all that for DIC and afternoon slop-! Great stuff. Hope you're well and good, and remember, as ol' Bobby Lee said, Texans always move 'em.

Trevour, all I can say is the first Bighouse show was a pilot with no established rules and we did not know what was acceptable, etc; Plus the crew was quite small so there are scenes animated by the story man, bgs painted by the director, so forth. A real circle jerk.

Jimbo said...

Rudy, great to hear that, glad you noticed it, I plum forgot but it was the most fun for me personally doing Beany & Cecil, though it turned out less fun later.. Being anxious to start on the board, any of the thumbnails for the storyboard, and designs (submarine, helicopter). were drawn right on the script and these are some of the nicest drawings.

To Jessica, looking forward to starting up again, and see you in the trenches (Cubicles; thank God they put doors on them.)
For anyone interested, I will be working on the looney tunes starting Tues. at the WB in Burbank, just in time, I hate having to sell from the archives. Come on down and say Hi.
