I can see it to! It's so weird because I have a sick obsession with both of them! Put together it makes it all the better! And I know how I want to paint life now!

Thanks Katie and Niki. Cool and glad to hook you up to a forgotten master. I had not heard of him until the mag came out last month. Let me know if you find more good stuff on him.

the atheneum.org has a good gallery of his work. That's where I first heard of him. If you have any more images of his work, I'd love to see it. Random fact, but you have the same name as my dad.

These are the only images I have seen so far. Let me know if there are more. I haven't googled yet. I think he is an American.

There was a big exhibit of his work at the Hammer Museum this past fall. They must have a good catalog for it. I think its traveling to the east coast.

And he came before them.....
Started in the teens.

Other people you may be interested in looking at are Arthur Dove and Marsden Hartley.

Beautiful work Jim. Has a psychedelic feel to it. Considering its from 1917 way ahead of its time. I wish there were more innovators like that around today. That's what we need these days.
