Frazetta's doppelganger

When I first saw Frazetta and then Jeff Jones or maybe vice versa they stuck in my head seriously before I was onto Kirby and them. My dad owned a copy of Rogue Roman a paperback novel from the '60s. The cover was Frazetta and all the figures looked totally convincing, with luscious breasts, tan lines, veins and such. Dad kept the book under his mattress and never knew I was rubbing it against myself. Or maybe he did.

You accosted a book!

I saw that documentary about Frazetta- he paints over his own paintings! Flipped-his-lid.

to kali: Kali, Kali, Kali. First, I had the book's full consent. It was asking for it. Many a great artist tries to improve old work. Maybe it's crazy but who are we to judge? I have the doc. but haven't seen it yet. I was lucky enough to meet Frank at Bakshi's in 1987 when Frank was just getting sick. It was funny, I don't know if Eddie Fitz. remembers but Ralph called us in one at a time, we shook hands with Frank, then Ralph said "Get the f--- out of here! Next!" And poor Frank was sitting there half dead. He couldn't believe anyone knew who he was.

the Frazetta museum isn't far from where I live. I've been there once before, his estate is absolutley beautiful.

That's nice of you, to consider the inanimate object's feelings!

I give him credit for teaching himself to draw with his left hand after his illness- which is amazing!

Every Ralph story I've heard is either hilarious or scary- or both. What a nice guy, I mean jerk. He's in that Frazetta documentary and says some pretty profound things....well not really haha!

Wow Kali, I just had the hardest time understanding what you just said, but I guess that was the point so mission accomplished!
