Hey Tom the next one will likely be a compilation of the first 3 books reprinted in one. If not an all new book, but not soon due to costs of printing and whatnot. A book about the art of Spumco is now in production.
The last comment was for the Crawford. The Lorre works for me because he is a perfect subject for drawing. The Looney Tunes versions always creeped me out in a good way, especially the cartoon where Lorre is constantly threatening Daffy (or was it Bugs?)with "I would do horrible terrible things to you! (giggle)" I think it was a McKimson but correct if not.
Damn, that Peter Lorre is awesome. I think these caricatures could be great character designs for an animated film. Or they could least grace a film poster.
Wow, really solid work and great likeness! These are three of my favorite classic Hollywood personalities. I watched "Johnny Guitar" the other day, and of course couldn't resist to make various sketches of Joan Crawford. She and Peter Lorre are terrific caricature subjects because of their unusual and wildly expressive faces.
Can you please check the Robert Mitchum and Dean Martin caricatures on my blog? I'd love to hear your opinion and advice.

it's pretty but I did the thing I am always trying to avoid - the eyes don't line up. The overall effect is there.
