I love Superheroes so much . . .

... that I need to make fun of them. These here cels are not really for sale, just wanted to show you how deep the hole goes. The top cel is a color model from the 1987 Mighty Mouse episode "Tree Weasels" (not the correct title) - The rest are color models from the "League of Super Rodents" a personal favorite, though this set is missing the fabulous "Cow" (voiced by Mike Petaki) who talked like George C. Scott in "Patton" and eventually became George liquor. Strange concept - a male cow AND a villain. Directed by John K. written by Jim Reardon?, storyboards and layouts by Bruce Timm, myself and others.

Great stuff as usual. Jerry Beck mentioned not too long ago that he'd been working on putting The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse out on dvd. Do you know when it's supposed to be out? Have they contacted you for input?

I like the Bat mouse? Is it?

I spoke to Jerry a few days ago we went to screening of El Super Beasto the Rob Zombie animated movie. Interesting flik much in the spirit of Bakshi. No word on that dvd. The Art of Spumco coffee table book is nearly done and should be released sometime in 2010. Many of these pieces will appear in that one.
Niki that is Bat-Bat ally of Mighty Mouse. His side kick is the Tick (not that one) and his car is the Man Mobile. It's from Night of the Bat-Bat episode, 1987.

Thank ya. I've actually heard enough to know who he was, it's just that it was so long ago that I'd forgotten. And thanks for the extra stuff I didn't know.

I love the Blast Beaver myself. He has a really appealing design. I'm looking forward to getting that art of Spumco book.

Yo know weird, I have to admit I like some blast beaver myself.

Sorry I meant to say weirdo.

These are great!

I remember the episode with the cow... one of the funniest cartoons ever made!

Thanks for clarifying that. Man, if there's one 80's cartoon that needs to be out on dvd it's this one. Funny you should mention it, I caught a midnight screening of Superbeasto and I also felt a Bakshi/Spumco vibe. Then I noticed in the credits that Lynne Naylor and Chris Reccardi were involved in it.

Call me Eric. That's my name. I don't know what it is about that beaver, but he looks so cool.

These are all such great designs. I'm not sure if I prefer the beaver or the superbeaver better.

Yeah!! BAT-BAT! SUch an inspirational show for me back in the dark days of the 80's. Good seeing you at the screening last week. Wish we had gone to see CLOUDY instead...

Yo Chris great to see you too. I enjoyed that Superbeasto dude though it was a little disjointed. That's the Zombie style.

I always loved Mike Pataki's voice as both "The Cow" and George Liquor. He is a great voice actor.

The Mighty Mouse DVD is said to be hitting the street in February 2010.

seems to me George Liquor has been around for a long time.. I can remember a form of George way back in the last century, and I think he still lives in H'ville.....HUB
