To kali: There were countless stories like this from what I've read. The vast majority of soldiers in WWII were just citizens drafted though many volunteered. It wasn't professional brutes like today, though they are our first line of defense so we need the brutiest guys at the tip. WWII is my favorite war. What's your favorite?

What's my favorite war? Haha, hmmm.... Hannibal is a pretty good strategist, so how about one of them there Punic Wars. But killing is bad, men do it to impress the ladies.
